Karan Johar clarifies his remarks on Homebound:

Filmmaker Karan Johar has issued a clarification after his recent comments about his latest production Homebound were reportedly misconstrued by sections of the media. Taking to his Instagram stories, Johar urged people not to misquote or misunderstand his statements regarding the film’s performance and significance.

“I humbly request my friends and members of the media to not misconstrue or misquote my comments on our film Homebound,” he wrote. “It was an academic chat on the business of our movies. I am and will always be exceptionally proud of Homebound.”

Johar went on to praise the film, calling it one of the finest and most sensitively performed and directed projects from his production house. He assured fans that Homebound holds a special place in their repertoire and continues to perform well.

The filmmaker also expressed gratitude for the growing audience response, noting the “day-on-day increase in domestic footfalls” and the team’s efforts to expand the film’s reach internationally.

Starring Vishal Jethwa, Ishaan Khatter ad Janhvi Kapoor, Homebound has been receiving widespread acclaim for its heartfelt storytelling and strong performances. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, the film has already been showcased at multiple international film festivals and continues to draw positive word of mouth from critics and audiences alike.
